I recently changed my mind on my future J12 from black to white. My best friend talked me out of black saying it was too masculine looking. Do you agree? I'm asking specifically about the bracelet or leather watchbands - not the face. It is such a major purchase that I want to be 100% positive on my choice. It might be one of those ?'s - the more people you ask - the more different opinions you get. Some ask me what color do I wear more of and some say that black is a lot dressier. What do you fashionistas on this forum think? It doesn't have to be limited to j12 but on any black watch. TIA!

black is not masculine at all! the black J12 is sexy! i'll say that black watches are easier to wear and match compared to white watches, especially where the white J12 is concerned!

It seems the white J12 is the most prevalent, but I think black looks more chic and sleek than the white, and more versatile. But I have to add that I've never liked white watches or white watchbands, they look cheap to me. So I'm biased in a way that might make my input irrelevant.

NO WAY!!!! BLACK IS AWESOME!!!:tender: Some of my Favorite watches are black and HUGE!!! im not much for stereotypes I BUY WHAT I LOVE AND WHO CARES WHAT a friend or stranger thinks just follow your desire and get WHAT CALLS YOUR NAME not what someone else thinks!!!:tender: ROCK it with confidence and LOVE IT and wether its black or white im sure youll get TONS of compliments!!!! Good LUCK!!

omg, that's what I thought at first and some people thought that black was masculine especially if it was 38mm one, so I ended up getting the black 33 mm. Now that I have it, I should have gotten the black 38mm one. I already have the white in 38mm, so I guess having a different size in black isn't so bad. The bottom line is, go with what you like, not what other people think. and hope you find the right one for you. I love these watch so much that I got it in both colors and couldn't be happier. I know they cost a lot, but if you think about it, once you have it, you find yourself reaching out for it everytime, so it's all worth it.

To bhurry - I bet I eventually end up with both colors too! Do you have diamond markers or bezels on your 38s? Perhaps I shoulde get white plain and will be better able to justify future purchase of black if I save on the diamonds!

I just got a J 12 look alike from The Limited (it's not a fake...it's just very similar to the J 12, lol), and to my surprise, I liked the black version over the white (I usually LOVE all things white). The white version looked clunkier and not as sleek as the black.

I recognize that I'm not exactly talking about the J 12, but just thought I'd thrown in my two cents on the black. Get what you LOVE, and stick with it.

yes, if you think about getting both or even just one, go with white 38mm plain. the black numbers go great with the white watch, and the size itself makes a statement even without the diamond markers. if you're going with the black, diamond marker is a must (I think) it really stands out with the black color. i'm excited for you
