Hi ladies,

I just bought these Gold Romy Flats at Nordstrom for a very good deal (50% off) but now I'm comtemplating to whether I should exchange them for a black pair instead. I love the gold color but I also love the black leather as well. Please chip in your opinion on whether I should keep the gold ones or exchange them for black ones. TIA.

do you have black flats that are similar? Would gold match clothes in your wardrobe?

personally i would exchange it for the black but that's because of my wardrobe, gold shoes just doesn't work. plus black is more versatile, unless you already have a similar pair of black flats.

how is the fit on them btw? is it TTS? comfy?

My sister had the gold and I have a pair of the blacks. My sister ended up returning the gold because they got dirty quite easily (since they're not smooth leather, kind of sueded). I've worn my black ones quite a bit and they still look good.

Thanks everyone for the inputs. I don't own any black flats as of yet, sounds crazy but I have always liked "flashier" items...lol. I think they are quite comfortable but I think the 7.5 is a little too stretchy, if you know what I mean. I'm afraid that eventually they will be too big for my feet. Good news, I just ordered both the black and the gold in size 7 and I'm planning to keep both of them. Great deal I just couldn't resist :woohoo:. I also looked at the black Elena flats. I really like that fact that they have gold hardware vs. the Romy black is silver hardware. They cost just a tad bit more, on sale at $133.90 eventhough the retail price was less than the Romy. I just really couldn't tell they're Tory Burch the first time I looked at them. That doesn't bother me too much but what do you all think?

i hope we will see some modeling pics when you get your black & gold ones! there's nothing wrong with liking flashier items ;) i've been dying to get the Revas, still wavering on it... i just love TB flats!

I will definitely post pics as soon as they come home. I've been wanting the Revas in black forever but my best friend has a pair so I guess I can settle for the Romys instead...haha. I'll PM you when I find good deal on shoes in SD :D

Orchid...I was wondering if you've gotten another email after your confirmation email?? I also ordered the Romy's in black 3 times, (sizes 6.5, 6.5, then a 7), and they've all be "unable to fulfill" -- I'm really sad!

I usually wear a 7, but I settled for a 6.5 (I've tried them on in the store in the past) since the 7's were sold out. But when I got the email, I called back, and supposedly, a 7 was avail again...then I got shot down AGAIN! :(

Chubbyxmonkey: I'm sorry for what you've gone through...as of for me...long story...after I bought the Romy in gold size 7.5 at the store, I came home and checked the website, all the blacks were sold out completely. Then the next day, I went on the website again at around noon and all the sizes were there so I called my SA asking him to order for me so I don't have to pay for shipping, but at that time, I wasn't sure about the size that I wanted to order so I didn't call him back until 6pm that same day and he said they were all sold out again :crybaby:. I was very frustrated by that point but I kept checking the next day, literally every hr, and I saw a gold pair in size 7 available at around 3pm but I didn't bring my CC with me so I had to wait until 5pm when I get home to order, worrying that they might be sold out by then. Lucky for me, they were still there, PLUS a black pair in 7 were also available :yahoo:...I couldn't be any happier. THEN, this morning I received an email from Nordie saying that they could not ship the gold Romy size 7 bc the item is no longer available...WHAT THE HECK :cursing:...but they have already shipped the black pair yesterday so hopefully there won't be any more disappointment around the corner. At least for now I still have my gold Romy in 7.5 sitting at home and the black ones in 7 on they're way.

So lucky, and quite a story! I'm glad you were able to snatch them. I was so sad that I wasn't able to get them. :(

I called around so many times as well, customer service, etc., and the last time, when they said they had a 7 avail from a store, I was happy...until they called me and said unfortunately, they didn't have any in their store anymore. She did call around to a couple of other stores that said they had a 7 available, but physical check came back negative.

Enjoy your shoes, they are LOVELY!! :)

Thank you, chubbyxmonkey. I also went to several stores to check on the status of Elena flats for my best friend and the same thing happened, the physical check always came back negative.
