thanks a lot!!!! :) is black the new red? i remember a couple of years ago when bright red nail polish became "hip" again and every trndy girl did it. could this be the case with black? is it something new the hollywood starlets' stylists are cooking up? oh god i hate the idea of lohan being a trendsetter... i guess the chipped polish look will never catch on. remember her pre-stylist days? eww.

Gwyneth Paltrow also loves the very dark black/maroon. In fact, I think most celebs are not wearing pure black but a very intense black/red/purple so that you see those other hues in direct sunlight. I was also a hugh fan of Chanel Vamp!

shu, me too! my all time favourite color is mademoiselle by essie. so cute, pale pink! i prefer bold color on toes, not on my hands because i don't like my fingernails much.

It just depends WHO you are and what your PERSONAL style is if it ends up being a mess or not..black with black is harsh biker chic or gothic but if you wear black nail polish with a blush chiffon dress it looks femme , vintage and witty or if you wear black nail polish with egg shell or even washed silver or champange color it can totally alter the effect~ Its all in the mixing love! Plus haven't we all been wearin CHANEL VAMP for years anyhow???

I'm always too scared to venture out. :p

Whenever I go to the salon, I always get Ballet Slippers. I've never tried Mademoiselle. Do you know what difference in color there is? I've always heard so many things about Mademoiselle, and really want to try it. Next trip! :laugh:

I am a HUGE fan of black nail polish. Everyone thinks it's strange but I like it. I'm funny though. I like very pale pink on my toes but get them to paint my fingernails black! I keep my nails short and have to be in the mood for it so I get it done maybe twice a year. I don't let it chip off like many of the celebs seem to do. I can't stand that look.
