Black Leather Monogram

Wondering how you have found the quality on monogram pieces with black leather. From the few I have seen, the leather seems to wear easily - the white underneath shows where there is a split - especially along the strap edge. Has this been your experience?

Should I shy away from an Odeon PM in noir?

I have MWT Speedy & Neverfull both with black trim. I have had no issues with the black leather trim. I love it because it is weatherproof & worryfree compared to vachetta & less stiff/less prone to cracking than Damier Ebene. Odeon PM with noir is next on my list because it is less expensive than MWT which was the only way to get monogram & black leather trim previously.
