Hiya Minkette ladies. Long time no post. Ventured above and beyond. Got rid of everyone of my RMs to get a couple of other bags. But I am still in need of a good black hobo. Couldnt find the one I wanted and then I found an RM Nikki in Black Ink. Having not seen irl, I want to describe the pics as a cross between a glazed and patent black. Its the smooth leather. Does anyone have a pic of a Nikki in this color?

I think Magjes had a Nikki in this leather once ... I think you're description of a cross between glazed and patent is pretty accurate. Hopefully someone will post a pic for you! Welcome back to RM :)

I don't have a black ink Nikki. But I do have a black ink MAC. It is in some of my pics in my collection thread. Link in my siggy.

I would say it is glazed, but I don't think I would say it was between glazed and patent. It isn't anywhere near as shiny as my patent bag. Hope that helps.

I agree. I personally do not care for patent bags and the INK Nikki I had did not remind me of patent leather. It did have a glaze to it like sandc says :yes:.

I really liked my INK Nikki. It was a nice JET Black.....I liked that. I traded it for another bag only because I found a Pepper Nikki and Pepper is my favorite RM smooth black leather (yes- even above SW black!). I think INK is a leather that will break in nicely too.

Here are some pics of my Ink Nikki. It is definitely black/black...as MAGJES said..."JET Black." It is glazed, so it has a very pretty shine to it. I love it!:love:

Thats it! I used to have a Francisco Biasia in this finish. Loved it, just didnt like the flap over. I think this Nikki is going to serve my purposes well. Its that "the grass isnt always greener" type of thing. I had two Nikkis at one time. Wouldnt trade my BVs for anything but even a black BV didnt work out, so back to Nikki!
Cant wait for it to get here!

How many different blacks are there? I just purchased a nikki on bonz that said black, with signature hw & black & white floral lining. Seller said it is very smooshy leather that feels good to touch. It almost looks like a bit of a sheen to it, but that may have been from the flash. How do I know what black it is? It should be here tomorrow!

I got mine today and its definitely INK...Its the perfect black for what I needed at oh, $1000 less! I bought a BV Maxi Nero, but it was too big for me, so after much searching, I was going to get a YSL Roady, but the only ones I could find were the pebbled leather, which I did NOT want or Patent, which I also did not want....so I was like, I used to LOVE RM Nikkis (I had a Wine and Navy Luxe) (ooh, how I wish I still had my wine)...so I sold the BV and didnt have to buy the Roady and I feel GREAT!!!

Hi, I'm new to RM. Not quite familiar with all the leather. How's black ink compare to black pepper?
