black 40 cm swift leather hermes with golden hardware

hi everybody
i just got my first hermes bag. it is the 40 cm swift leather version with golden hardware. the only thing is. it is a bit heavy....i am still very much in love with it though and want to know WHAT YOU THINK

swift is one of the lighter leathers. not light light, but lighter.
only toile or box or chevre might be lighter, and epsom. is it for work?

hi everybody,
i am just using it as an every day bag. the only thing i found out as well though that bugs me a little is that the handles are some what shorter than the usual handles from the 35 cm birkins, my mother has a 35 cm and it is hard not to notice. does anyone know how come the handles of this 40 cm are shorter???
