For the most part it stays in place but it does move a little side to side. I read on here somewhere when I was researching that someone's silver one used to completely turn so the back clasp was always showing. That never happens to mine. Maybe it's because the platinum and size I have is a little heavier? I love this necklace so much and wear it almost daily!
