Birkin wait list

I live about 3 1/2 hours from an Hermes boutique, and I'm wondering if I get on a wait list, and then the Birkin comes in, will they ship or will I have to go into the store? I know several people have said you can't just call and have one shipped out to you that is currently in the store, but how does this work if you're on the wait list and your Birkin comes in?

Supposedly if u r on the list, and when the birkin that fits ur requirement comes in, they will call u and u will have to go to the store to pick it up. I have not yet heard of any stores that can do charge and ship.

Okay. That's pretty much what I was thinking. Just hopefully if I ever get to that point, it'll come in at a time that's convenient for me to travel that far to get it. I may try to get up there this weekend and see about getting on the list.

If you tell them how far of a drive it is I'm sure they'll work with you a little on the pick-up timing ordeal.

Perhaps if there isn't an Hermes in your state or if it's a certain distance away. Some stores cater to customers in surrounding states where there is no Hermes. Mainly mid-west, other areas, too.
