Hi ladies

Happy New Year TPF-ers :)

I am looking to get a Hermes Birkin 35cm (most probably Etoupe) but I like the brighter colours too (Red,Orange) :D

I recently enquired at the Hermes boutique in KLCC, Malaysia and was told the waiting list was 2 years and it was now closed for this year. It will re-open next year. When I enquired about the Togo leather 35cm Birkin I was told the price was RM 36,000 this year (and increases by 11% or so every year)

What is the process for getting a Birkin in other countries? I'm from Melbourne, Australia but I think Australia is one of the more expensive places to get a Birkin. Does anyone know how much it is approximately for 35cm Togo leather Birkin?

I have read through some threads which mention that if you are willing to pay a premium then it's better to head to Japan- which always has ready stock?

I don't mind travelling to US or UK to get a Birkin either.

Please help! I don't even know where to start! Where is it the most affordable to get a Birkin, and which place usually has the most ready-stock?

Thanks in advance :)

Most ready in stock is Japan, but expensive, pretty much as expensive as Aussie price.
If you don't mind paying the expensive price in Australia and not fussy about colour or combination, it's actually quite easy to get from Aussie. Forget about that 2 year wait list BS, they just didn't want to sell you because you are not regular there.
