So I read the thread on here about walk in customers not being able to get a birkin. Well I want one in the future after I have an established life. So anyways I never bought anything from H so does that mean it's impossible for me to get one even for a waiting list? Then how do new customers ever obtain a birkin?! Is a brand new buyer able to go on a waiting list for a birkin if they want one? I will be very sad if I can't ever own a birkin because I am a new customer.

It is hard to acquire a birkin even as a regular customer, most boutiques require you to build a relationship with a SA.

You might have a better chance with FSH as a walk in or thru reseller. Good luck!

Hi OP!

I was a newbie to H at the beginning of this year! Within around 4 months I got the B that I wanted - I was lucky I guess, but I have to emphasize that I love H not just for the B, or K, but their other products too (in fact before I was know about the B, I know about their scarves first).
Any customer had always started as a "new customers" first! I think you should research some more about different factors that generally help people to get a B, or visit your local H just to have a look around. Once you've established that it's time you're ready to make the plunge, then work all the factors together (plus a bit of luck and patience) - you will be able to get the one you love!

EDIT: I have to also emphasize that I've never bought an item just because of the thought "I might be offered a B" - all the things I got from H (or anywhere else for that matter), I truly, truly love it.
