I am conteplating on selling my birkin on Ebay. I just had spa treatment done at Bev Hills/Manuela. Is now a good time to sell or do you think it is too slow with economy, gas prices, etc ??
It is a black with palladium hardware, so i would think it would be desirable. Ebay just scares me nowadays!!

Let me know if you gals think I should take the plunge!!! Thanks:smile1:

I have if you price it well, it should sell very fast. I have seen bags with attractive pricing moving left and right. What size/ leather? Recently someone bought a black togo 35 cm for 6800 (or somewhere around there, definitely south of 7k). how much are you looking for?

I think the best offer is a good option.. you may get some low ball offers but that doesn't matter really becasue you will also be able to screen to whom you want to sell to ie high + feedback ebayers :o) If you price it at about 7500 or best offer and throw in Free shipping you should do well :o) Then settle for 6500-6800 as your range of acceptable offers... Also if you don't have high feedback yourself and or will not accept paypal for payment it may limit your interested parties. Best of luck!

It also depends on the year and condition. If it's fairly new and in near mint condition, you can definitely sell it over 7K for a 35cm. It would be a plus if you add the spa receipt in the pictures. Remember to take good pictures with lots of closeups.

I say go for it, there are a lot of buyers out there.

However, I recently had an authentic chanel bag auction shut down for "trademark infridgement", relisted it and it was shut down again. My theory is that "professional" sellers report lower priced items to ebay and get the auctions shut down so that they can continue to mark their bags up to more than 2x retail.

I was not able to move the bag via ebay and am now pursuing a "professional" seller to consign for me. eBay will not tell you the reason the auction gets shut down, but as an individual, it may be hard to sell your bag in this manner.

i think you should try, you can't loose more than 2-3 $... and there is always someone looking for a 35 black birkin...
(ok, you gotme, look at my signature...je je!)

Maybe i should post in Ebay forum, I rec'd email from Ebay and Pay pal showing my item had been sold and paid for, it looked identical to the real thing. i reported to Ebay and Paypal. Lots of scammers out there!!! Be careful everyone!
