There was a 30cm red (rouge vif, I think) diamond birkin in Bond St last saturday. But your best bet on a croc or any other exotic on the shelf is definitely in Paris.

It was intimidatingly beautiful. I didn't have the heart to ask the SA to show it to me but I was just happy admiring it from afar. :girlsigh: It could still be there the next time you visit mooks and maybe you could have a feel for me. :graucho:

I need someone who shops regularly at FSH to support what I am going to say.

As far as I know, croc Kellys and Birkins are reserved for VVIPs only. Those in the window displays are never for sale (these bags are rumoured to be incomplete even). I was told that no croc Kellys or Birkins will make it to the shelves. They are shown to VVIPs in privacy.

Walk-ins can buy diamond croc Kellys and Birkins though.

I'd certainly have no shame in asking my SA to have a hold of that!! If it's still there I'll ask

Don't know about FSH but Georges V had at least one croc Kelly in the store for sale in a cabinet

Sometimes diamond croc Birkins are kept "behind" and they'll show them if you have serious interest. I've seen a few in Paris and one over a year ago in Milan.

I have seen lots of croc Birkins in 25 around Europe, not so many Kellys somehow. I was also given a chance to place an order, time range 2 years for darker colours to 4 years for lighter and bright colours.
I saw 3 crocs in George V this spring, 2 Kellys, 1 Birkin, all with diamonds.

A couple years ago there was a black croc with diamonds at the Kalakaua store. She had no problems showing me the bag...even when I told her I had no intention of buying it.
I love those Hawaii SA's.....even if a girl dreams...they still would like you to try it on!

Because that clever SA knows that we often end up buying bags that we originally had "no intention of buying" many a times.....:p

It has also become a trend to have one croc Birkin with diamonds on display at each new store opening!

And I was told if a customer is to order a croc Birkin with diamonds, that will arrive faster than one without!

I wonder how the quality is of the diamonds they use

Just as a matter of interest does anyone know the price of say a 35 croc Birkin without diamonds and one with
