chesia if there is one place you can walk in on a birkin, it definitely is Paris. I got my first orange birkin as a walk-in Feb 07, it was my first birkin & I didn't research what would work for me - like it's been said before, if you are not picky about leather/hardware & size, your chances are quite good. It's good to read up about the leathers, colors & sizes now, to have an idea what leathers, colors & sizes will work for you. During my Nov 07 trip, I had already hung around purseforum enough & armed with more knowledge, it was a different experience, my eyes were open to other lovely H-items, the scarves & accessories & I knew what bags would work better for me. I wish you the best on your birkin hunt, I hope you encounter the bag of your dreams!
