Dear all,
I don't want to spam so I condensed the topic. I found gris meyer a nice neutral color but I wonder if it looks better with stiffer, more structured leather or relaxed. Same for blue electric which is a nice color - my friend advised me a small Kelly with blue electric instead of Birkin 30 in togo. Gris meyer in my opinion works in almost any size, blue one is more eye popping.
Happy Near Year!

the bottom line is that whatever works for you is the right choice

you have thrown up variables of style; leather; colour; size . . .
is this a bag to use or just own?

I know it's unlikely that you can just walk into a boutique,
see what is available and make a choice
and the add that to your collection, making another bag
from which you can choose the style and colour that matches today's outfit

NONETHELESS you need to have some idea of when you will be able to use this new bag
that is the factor which should inform your selection

Thank you. I'm just working on my preferences because either way like one poster said I won't have a full choice. So I need friendly advice and huge "no". Just like I removed swift from my list as a beginner. I need to properly learn.. To those who replied- who use Birkin often do you reach for 25 or 30 more often? And your favorite grey-ish color but not etoupe? :) (sorry for my autocorrection)

Personally I love both colors and think they both look great in togo. I think it's less about size in terms of the color and more about how you want to use it and which you'd reach for the most. Would both work equally well in your wardrobe, or would one color edge the other out? Do you want a day bag or smaller day-to-night bag?

If you're making a wish to your SA, there's certainly no guarantee of getting either color... if you'd be flexible I would say something like "My top choice is medium gray, gris meyer is my favorite, second is vibrant blues like bleu electrique." If that's the only blue you'd accept though, definitely say that. You'll be less likely to get a bag but it would be more likely to be what you want. Also tell your SA what bags you'd accept were they to be offered, with a top choice in bag style, leather and hardware. It will help them get a sense of your true style and preferences.
