Birkin 25 or Kelly Pochette ?

If you have other all the other sizes of a Birkin and Kelly you want except these two, which would you want more?

Any feedback on difficulty to get and value is appreciated as well. I am debated between the two to ask as my next QB from my SA.

I vote for B25. I think B25 is more functional. You can put more things in it, versus kelly pochette is more like an evening bag. Also, kelly pochette is usually in swift leather. It will show more signs of wear overtime. Resell value will be lower if it doesnt look brand new.

However, i do believed that kp is harder to get coz it seems more limited.

i have a swift B that wears extremely well, but a B has feet, whereas a pouchette does not

Of course that depends if you are after a proper clutch bag or a very small tote? Personally I love the KP have two - and this time of year they come into their own. Perfect for festive drinks/dinners or even used more casually for lunch/brunch. It’s such an elegant bag and I even prefer it to my mini Kelly. (As much as I love my mini Kelly, the handle can look a little too cute) I have seen photos where people add a strap and turn the KP into a cross body, but for me it’s a clutch. I don’t have a B25 so perhaps someone with both can chime in and tell us how they use them.

As much as I like the look of the pochette (and ladysarah's photo shows it in all its glory), I think the Kelly 25 is more functional. If you're looking to maximize your "cost per wear," the Kelly 25 would be the way to go.

I totally agree with you that Kelly Pochette is perfect for festive drinks/dinners or used more casually for lunch/brunch. KP is a wonderful size clutch that is very functional and at the same time, very elegant looking. I use B25s mostly for daily shopping activities. This is same for my K25.
For evening events that I need to dress up, I usually like to use KP/KC or Kelly 25 to complete the looks, but I also use B25 if its color complements my outfit.

@880, here is a photo of me carrying my noir shiny crocodile KC in my local boutique reopening party 3 years ago. I was wearing a dark navy lace dress inside my coat. Because the KC is in shiny crocodile, I think it looks more dressy and is very suitable for evening dinners/events.

I sometimes pair my noir epsom K25 and bright-color B25s with coats and dresses for evening dinners. I pick the bag based on which bag color complements my outfit the most. Sorry, I don't have too many photos of my outfits that I am willing to share on public forum due to privacy reason.

I second this. B25 will be more useful, but KP is harder to get. Instead of the KP I'd chose a Mini Kelly or Kelly Cut if you need a clutch, because I wouldn't want a small bag like this to lose it's shape. However, the KP fits a bit more than the other ones. With croc it probably wouldn't show wear as quickly as swift, but I still feel the KP is a tad more casual than the MK and KC.

I’m a little conflicted because I have and love both! I think it truly depends on your need. The B25 is much more functional and obviously holds more, but I consider it a day bag. The KP is more versatile as a day/evening bag due to its size. In fact, I enjoy using it as a day bag when I don’t have much to carry. It holds a lot more than the Mini Kelly and I prefer its compact size over the Kelly Cut.
