Birkin 25: Black or Grey

I am looking to add a Birkin 25 retourne in either black or grey ( like Etain). Which one is more versatile for day to night, thank you so much! 😊

Since I own a black Chanel classic, my only dream when getting a B25 was for it to be gray(Gris Etain). I think you should decide based on your wardrobe. I really enjoy using mine. I hope you will also enjoy using yours, no matter what color you get.

Yes, I have a black classic Chanel too and that’s why I thought of adding grey as well, def tough choice! I have mostly black/ neutral/ pink colors in my wardrobe

Both are extremely versatile. I would purchase the first one offered assuming I liked all other aspects : HW; leather ; etc

ETA: I prefer Gris misty to etain. I also prefer PHW as more modern than GHW, but GHW is having its moment. If you like GHW, I think a gray bag with GHW can look very saturated and rich in tone.

If you are planning on also adding a K25, I don’t recommend the same color, same HW, as they would be a bit too close in size and function.

Grey. Black on a small bag only makes it look even smaller. And I think most greys are already a neutral whereas black can be a bit harsh in summer months.

Grey on a B25. I opted for black on the B30 (the color makes the bag look so much smaller!) and am working towards a grey/taupe on a B25.

All great opinions above. For my one and only B25 (after the pandemic I realized I need only one, unlike K25s), I chose noir. Etain, however, would be a very close second choice.

I wanted only one Birkin so I preferred a neutral color and my first choice was noir which I received with phw.
