I was wondering what your thoughts were on this bag? I was at the mall with my friend the other day and she was looking at the big buddha mia bag in black at lord and taylor, but mentioned she really wants a grey bag.

Piperlime has the bag she was looking at in grey. What do you guys think about it? I know its not leather, but she is looking for a decent quality inexpensive bag. She doesn't spend a lot of money on bags. She only has one coach, and doesn't use that because she is afraid of ruining it.

I am thinking about getting it for her for her birthday in august. Do you think the flower is overwhelming or is it a fun accent? I do really like the deep shade of grey. The bag surprisingly has a lot of structure and holds it shape well.

Thanks for your input!!!!

Someone gave me a Big Buddha Roxy tote last year. It wasn't something I would normally get for myself, but it turned out to be such a great bag that I got another one in a better color for me. So in terms of brand, I vote yes.

As to this particular bag, I would make sure (if you can) that the person who is to receive it as a gift likes this kind of flower/rose design because people either love it or hate it. I'm in the second group. Regardless of the designer brand, color, material, size...I couldn't carry a "rose" bag. But that's me.

I was wondering about Big Buddha, since I hadn't seen one in person. I've found some great vegan bags but am always interested in new styles from different designers (beyond mat & nat or Stella McCartney who I love too). Like, Karmen, I'm not sure about the huge rose on the front, but my tastes seem to constantly change. Thanks for the post!

I have one similar to that one that's by Steve Madden. I think it's adorable with a sundress or something of that nature.
You could always get it for her, and if she's not happy, she could exchange it.

Well ladies I thought I would give you an update....

I went ahead and ordered the bag for my friend. But when I received it I was disappointed in the quality. I felt that my gryson for target bag was better.

So, I sent it back the next day! It was a good thought for her, but I couldn't see spending about $90 on a non leather bag that was thin, flimsy etc. I would much rather get her something else!
