I've been reading all over the place that big, oversized bags are coming back in style and we'll likely see them everywhere this fall. So, what kind of oversized bags are we hoping to see from Gucci?

I'd love for Gucci to reissue their Horsebit Hobo bag from the early 2000s. This was my first Gucci bag. I bought it for myself in the canvas when I got my first real job out of school, and it's one of my all time favorite bags. I wore her quite a bit for a couple of years, but then the corners started to fray. So, she's been resting comfortably in her dustbag for the better part of over a decade, and I take her out every once in awhile to gaze lovingly at her.

I always regretted not getting the horsebit hobo in one of Gucci's gorgeous leathers. The chocolate guccissima, in particular, I've always loved. And, over the years, I search the preloved market, but have never pulled the trigger, for some reason.

Anyway, I think this bag is such a classic hobo style that Gucci never should have discontinued in the first place. So, I'd love to see them reissue it with a modern twist. What would you all like to see from Gucci in an oversized bag?

I have the Horse-bit Hobo bag in the Med in smooth calf in tan. Classic and iconic

I personally don't think it will happen because AM has notably not reissued any bags Frida designed 2002-2015 (new/variations) apart from the Dionysus which he didn't mind taking the credit for.

The large Half-moon hobo with a web-stripe strap would be good bet (although I already have one)

Here from 1969. Easy, simple, iconic.

Yes...knowing AM's history of steering clear of Frida's designs, I won't hold my breath. I am hopeful he'll come up with something similar in size, less structured, and with horsebit detailing, though. I'm a complete sucker for those horsebit designs.

That half moon is beautiful! Would be lovely to see a reissue of something like that.

@Hippolyta and @papertiger i too have been hoping for a reissue of the horsebit hobo. Mine is python and is also my first Gucci and my first luxury bag.

Currently, I don’t need a big bag (I never really did) but, would love to pull it out during a reissue.

Any reasons we think AM stays away from the Frida era?

I don't think they got on when she was his boss :annoyed:

 the sound of you Horse0bit Hobo, WOW.

The 00s Horse-bit was also my first Gucci bag love. I have at least 4 bags from the line, black convertible clutch, med Jade and small Chalk Shoulder bags, and the tan Hobo. I had hand-me-downs form my mother before, but I was  with these.

I am a tote/big bag gal so this news makes me happy! I got the Navy Ophidia tote (silver tone hardware makes me SO happy!) right when that colorway was launched, and it's been pretty much my daily driver these last few months. Looking forward to more big bags.
