Oh of course I understood, I am just amazed by the transformation!
And also curious how you know so much about restoration of leather goods.
I myself know nothing unfortunately, and learned some things the hard way.

Yes I’m a professional restorer I just did t want to come off like I was advertising and not being respectful to the TPF Mods and community.
You learned the hard way ? Well that’s humble and honest have t we all?
please share your stories ?

Oh thanks for explaining!
Well my sad story is that I did not know sunlight damaged suede & leather. I kept my shoe & purse collection in a closet with a huge sunny window.... you can imagine the suede shoes faded, white leather trim on shoes turned yellow & on one purse the leather handles sort of melted & blistered. I tried to clean it off, but it just kept peeling and staining my skin (it was hot pink).

Another bag was white & I had no idea about color transfer; when my jeans colored it blue I went back to the store for help but they had no advice how to remove the color.

I wish I knew about purse forum then!

Right now, I use a light leather conditioner from ugg brand on my cheaper bags, but I just bought a new expensive calfskin bag and I'm terrified to ruin it. I have no idea how to care for it.
And I tried to lightly brush my suede purse with a suede brush but it seemed to ruin the nap, so I just leave it alone. Help?

My cowgirl birkin.....(approx 20 years old) transformed into perfection by Docride for a previous owner, with customized (tooled) silver hardware. It’s as awesome as they come....I still can’t believe my luck.

And her saddle, (at least 40 years old), that inspired the purchase
