Hubby bought me a ring before the VAT increase here in the UK just two days ago. It was too small so I went to the official Pandora shop today to exchange it for a larger size.

They actually tried to charge me an extra £10 because of the increase in VAT since the original purchase!

Cheeky buggers! I'm sure a hell of a lot on the site has gone up more than 2.5% as well.

So what happens if you need to use your 12 month warranty from something that was bought before the increase?

Naughty naughty! I'm glad you were so strong - that's so bl**dy cheeky!

Some shops have sucked up the VAT increase like Gucci or incorporated it into there own Jan price rises. They must have been thought it was worth a try LOL :nogood:

I was told by another Pandora shop later in the day that there's the 2.5% increase PLUS a separate price increase by Pandora themselves, that's why the prices have risen steeply. They also said the Pandora shop shouldn't have already put up the prices and included the new VAT on pieces THEY bought before the VAT increase - the older bits should still remain at the old prices for some time.

Most of the official online retailers have put up their prices.Very naughty.
