What are our thoughts about the between-the-flower rings? Do you think they can be worn daily/ casually or are they mainly a cocktail/evening-only ring? I’ve been drawn to the Frivole one (plain YG) and the MOP and Tiger’s eye butterfly ones. However, I’m not sure about their durability, scratching, and comfort on a regular basis. I don’t go out enough in the evening so I wouldn’t feel it was worth buying if I wasn’t able to wear it regularly. However, I also live in NYC and wear gloves for a good chunk of the year and am worried I wouldn’t be able to wear the ring comfortably under gloves. Any advice on them would be greatly appreciated!

I love those two rings! In fact, I’ve loved the Frivole since 2011

Back then we didn’t have a VCA boutique where I lived so I was only able to dream about getting my hands on one if I ever went overseas.

I think the Frivole can be worn daily/casually but because of the shiny high polish surface, you would probably want to be mindful if you worry about scratches etc.

I’m not sure about wearing it comfortably under gloves but for me personally, because I am really selective about the pieces I purchase due to budget, I do think about cost per wear. I wouldn’t purchase it if I couldn’t wear it regularly... unless I’ve already bought everything on my wishlist

Those are literally the two rings I have - lol. I got the frivole this year and I LOVE it- I do think it is a bit dressier and I do not think an everyday piece because like mentioned above, have to worry about scratches but you can wear it to a causal dinner etc.... I just wouldn’t wear it dressed super casual. The btwn the finger ring with butterfly was the first piece I ever saw and FELL IN LOVE WITH. I saw it on a woman and I did not even know what VCA was. I have now had it for about 3-4 years and I LOVE it. I think this is more casual and super fun. Has been very durable for me. The Frivole is a bit more comfortable on actual finger but I wear the other one more. I think the frivole would be hard to wear with gloves the other might be just fine bc its low so gloves would be ok. I recommend both (eventually) maybe start with butterfly btwn finger ring... good luck & keep us posted!

Thanks, I am a little worried about scratches. I also want the earrings but so far they have not been in stock. And I totally agree cost per wear, especially since VCA is not cheap!

Wow, you have both?! Amazing!! I have the MoP 5-motif bracelet and single pendant necklace so the ring would match nicely. I was just a bit worried about the Mop (I baby my bracelet), especially with more frequent use of hand sanitizer. I heard the supply of the butterfly pieces are also very low. Anyway, thanks for your feedback! I’m hoping to get 2-3 jewelry items this year so I need to think carefully about which to add.

I have the MOP bracelet and I wear with my loves and juc and it has held up perfectly. I don’t shower with it on etc.. When i wash my hands and use sanitizer I take off my big rings. Another suggestion- I have the mini frivole pave earrings and LOVE them great everyday piece! You can wear casual or dressy :). Worry free too!

I have the Frivole pave diamond BTF ring and wear it all the time, casual, think skinny jeans and boots now for winter. I love this ring and plan to get the matching pave earrings in a few months when I can get to the boutique (need to fly).

I think you will love BTF rings... I am hooked on them and am looking at another one... Magic BTF pave is a top runner. These rings are bold yet because they are whimsical, it can very casual. I know mentally some folks may think high price = formal, but imagine if there was a similar no name style from Macy’s costume jewelry or dare I say Claire’s... yup... folks would wear it casual. These are fun rings to me not formal at all.

Thank you for that insight. It’s interesting that they could be seen as costume jewelry due to the size. I never thought of it that way—it makes it more wearable. I need to try on the mop/tiger’s eye ring in the boutique.

The MOP/Tiger ring would be a super fun ring. Playful, because in it's pure form, it's a four leaf clover with a butterfly buzzing around... super playful.

Some other thoughts to help you decide...
On the emotional side, as jewelry purchases are often based on emotion... The motifs on the MOP/tiger ring are super iconic if that matters to you, more so, in my opinion, than Frivole. But Frivole on the other hand is so 3-dimensional the ring just pops. Few rings are so 3-dimensional. Frivole to me is more "art" than "stones". The Frivole petals are made from three "hearts" which my husband picked up on immediately when I showed it to him on the website. When he saw it, he said "get that heart ring" (the other ones I was deciding on were the Lotus BTF and Magic BTF).

Both your choices would look great with jeans or loungewear now. They would also be super super cute in the summer with a light top and some Bermuda shorts (that's how I plan to wear my Frivole, for now, I'm obsessed with J Brand Skinny White Bermuda shorts in the summer).

Just my two cents and hope that helps. Good luck to you and congrats!

I love the way you describe the pieces. Made me smile. :)

What did you choose in the end? I have the exact same dilemma.

SA said it’s very rare to receive a tiger eye/MOP ring in the right size, but I feel the frivole is easier to wear. I love both.
