Any recommendations? For those of you who have this type of ring (I know it is pretty common), do you have pictures of it with your wedding band that you can post?

Thanks! :D

Honestly I think a plain, no-stone ring will do nicely ... I feel that eteternity bands, or lots-of-diamond bands, take away from the sparkle of the solitaire! My own personal feeling is unless the solitaire is surrounded by other diamonds within the band ...... the wedding band should otherwise remain plain to 'complement' the look.

That's me though!

If you can swing both a plain platinum band and a thin bead set band, I would get both and wear them differently.

I'm planning on getting the classic Tiffany knife edge platinum wedding band (I have the three stone, not the classic solitaire) at least. I don't really want to worry about tiny diamonds falling out while I'm boxing with my trainer. I tried on some diamond bands, since none of the local jewelers we went to had any other real alternatives (everyone and their sister wears diamond bands, apparently). I really liked one band that had thin baguette diamonds horizontal set in a channel set--- it gave a really cool effect. It was reasonable at $2k-ish, but right now I would rather get the platinum band first and get a second band after the wedding/honeymoon/new condo is all settled.

I'm boring, but I always like the wedding band to pretty much match the shank of the engagement ring. So if it's a pave set engagement ring, I like the same width in a pave set wedding band. If it's plain shank, I'd like a plain wedding band of the same width.

I have the solitaire and will be pairing it with the swing band:

My advice would be to just go and try on every style of band and see which one fits you best since everyone here seems to have a different opinion. Your wedding band can make your solitaire personalized to you and your own personality. Have fun with it and good luck finding the perfect ring for you. =)
