Hi everyone! I’ve been wanting to buy a good tote bag, and I just want some ideas and your thoughts on a good tote bag. Just something I could use for work and/or travel. I personally don’t care for large bags, since I’m small I don’t like bags that too big. I’ve been eyeing the YSL Shopping Bag, but I haven’t gone into the store to actually see how size is and the feel the material. Let me know what your favorite tote bags are!

I had a Coach tote bag that I bought from the outlet that I loved and was rather useful. I had quite a few of Rebecca Minkoff Perry Tote bags. I wore them quite a lot. Now my favorite is my MCM Klara leather tote in beige.

I think it depends on how you want to use it. I use one of several large hobo-style bags for everyday, but keep a reusable shopping bag folded up inside each of them. That's just in case I need to make a shop-stop while I'm out. I keep a number of battered Longchamp le Pliage totes in the car for major grocery hauls. If you just want a tote for carrying purse overflow, I'd suggest a Longchamp, maybe in a medium size to fit your frame. If you want a tote-ish daily driver, that will take a lot more consideration of your style and taste. In a case like that, I'd be more tempted to go with a tried-and-true personal favorite designer. Please update with your decision; I'll be interested to see what you choose.

I love the LV Neverfull. I have had it for years and keep going back to it because it truly holds so much but is not overwhelmingly large looking (the MM.) Sometimes I don't want to carry it just because everyone seems to have it, and I like carrying bags that I don't see on everyone else's arm. But at the end of the day, it is just such a great option!

I like my Hermès Doble Sens and Garden Party atm,. Basically I refer a prefer a softer, drapery tote for the shoulder and a more structured on for in-hand.

Are you looking more for a slouchy tote or a structured one.

if you want structure my favorites are
The Sac de Jour or The Prada Galleria.

If you want to go for something not that expensive check the Michael Kors Mercer accordion tote. I find really beautiful and very stylish

for a slouchy tote if you want to spend a lot go either for the Never full or the Saint Laurent or even the Goyard.
If you want something less expensive well again Michael Kors many nice ones and Tory Burch.

I was going to recommend the ysl shopping bag but in the north south. - that’s the one I have. I feel like north south doesn’t knock into things and keeps its shape better. The East west one can lose it’s shape easily.

LC Roseau totes are lovely. They come in several different leathers and also canvas. There are several sizes with short and long straps. The pricing is very reasonable taking the quality!

Also Boss totes deserve a second look.
