So, what do you all think? Lately I have been listening to some good ole' 80's music and I have actually missed it!! What are some of your favorite 80's songs??

For some reason I love the song "I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight" and "Whip It". Ha! So many more!!

"Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey.

It's the kind of song you always want to sing loud and obnoxiously when you're drunk ( and I have, in bars, more than once I'm sure.)

I'm a sucker for 80s music.

Oh so many! I'm an 80's music lover: So far what comes to mind:

True - Spandau Ballet
Material Girl, Crazy for you - Madonna
Rock the Casbah - The Clash
Endless Love - Lionel Richie, Diana Ross
Private Eyes - Hall and Oates
Too Shy - Kajagoogoo

Nerd huh? I bet a lot of you were just born in the 80's! ha ha!

"Shout" and "Broken" by Tears for Fears
"Biko" by Peter Gabriel
"Swamp", "And She Was" by Talking Heads
"Out on My Own" by Sheila Chandra

and for the more adventurous: love will tear you apart - joy divison (ok, so i can't find the original release year for this song, and it was probably some time in the late 70s since i believe ian curtis killed himself in 1980, but it didn't reach a wider audience until the 80s so I'M COUNTING IT!)

I have to dedicate this post to my Norwegian New Wave Heroes -

A-HA "Take On Me" (EDIT: Oops, Amanda beat me to it!)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Def Leppard. I still rock out to them. "Pour Some Sugar on Me!", "Pyromania", etc... etc...

Kajagoogoo "Too Shy"
INXS - "Devil Inside" but that whole album was good
Madonna - "Lucky Star", "Holiday"
The Cure - "Just Like Heaven"

But I still say that Ultimate 80's song has to be New Wave...
