So I am looking for suggestions that are 100%silk that work well as a headband specifically. I do not want to use a square 90 as I find that is way too much material for my purposes (not interested in turban styles either). With dry winter heating in full effect, I am experiencing major winter hair frizzies and this was a quick and easy remedy for me especially when I am at work or out and about. So far the Hermes’ Twilly was ok but was wondering if anyone else has better suggestions. The regular LV bandeau (3inches width) was a tad too wide and too long ( the ends ended up dangling yet not quite long enoug( to wrap around my head twice). LV bb (2 inches) are than twillies (2.5in). Perhaps the Dior mitzvahs are a stiffer twill and might hold a bit better? My hair is fairly thick (classified as type 2-wavy ) and chin length. @papertiger i read about your extensive experience in regular silks, any input for bandeaus? TIA :flowers:

I use silk twill 90 x 90, it's wrapped twice so I could use a 45, and I have use a 70. Silk twills are better than flat.

Thanks for replying but like I said I think the 90 square is just too much material especially when folded. Do you have a preference between the three houses: twillies vs mitzvahs vs bandeaus? Pretty sure they are all silk twill.

I think they may all be twill. I only have Hermès in that size so can't compare. Gucci sometimes do a longer version (similar width)

I love headbands and wear the traditional structured type all the time, but using a scarf or really any wrap around elastic type headband just never stays for me, always slips. A thin elastic band underneath helps. Just wondering how you get a scarf as headband to stay in place.
