So I got a job at Bloomingdale's for the holiday season, which means I'm going to be on my feet ALL DAY. I need to get some new shoes to wear and I need some help on what to get!

Requirements:

  • ALL BLACK
  • Have to be comfortable to wear all day
  • Some sort of cushion or comfort factor on the insole (I have flat feet)
  • Flats to mid-heel, nothing too tall since I'm 5'8 (don't want to tower over the customers)
  • Need to be closed toe
  • Have to be cute/fashionable (I know Aerosoles are comfy, but they're not very attractive)
Anyone have any black shoes that they can wear all day with no problem of their feet hurting, or some that are super comfy? I'm going this weekend to look but would love some suggestions or a direction to head in. Thanks so much for any help!

Go to a uniform store and look for black nurse type shoes. They have some very fashion forward but drop dead comfortable types. Or try Easy Spirit.

I was surprised at how comfy and cushy they were when I tried them on in store. I wasn't even planning on buying shoes that day. The SA was wearing them too, she told me she works full-time and those are her best and only work shoes!

What about loafers or mocassins?

Sperrys get my vote all day everyday for a "comfort" shoe that still looks cute. It gives a very preppy, classic look and looks great with jeans, casual skirts, etc. They were my go-to pair in college.

If you wanted something more fashionable, there are always loafers by Tods, Prada, etc.

I looked up some reviews on here about the Revas (because I figured those would be stylish and cute to wear), but I saw that everyone said they weren't comfortable at all. I was so disappointed by that! My sister has some so I'll see if I can try them on - her feet are bigger than mine so the might not seem uncomfortable.

Steve Madden Intyce or Incentiv boots. I am 5'8" also and love them. There is a tiny wedge but it is less than 1" and they are very comfortable and stylish.
