Hi everyone!

I am on the hunt for an MJ bag. My husband wants to buy me one as a holiday gift, but I have not had the chance to go out and look too much. I did check a couple of Nordstrom stores. They had some nice stuff, but I wanted to look around before I make a final decision. I really am leaning towards the Hudson, but I have not seen them at Nordstrom. Which stores in the Los Angeles area have a good selection of MJ? I have never been to the actual MJ boutique. Do they have ALOT of bags or is basically the same thing as a dept. store? I might make the trek out today. I have been driving around a lot and I am lazy!

Thanks for any info,
J.

Many items are exclusive to MJ boutiques, they aren't available at non-MJ stores. In addition, they sometimes carry a different/better version - some of their bags are lined with leather or suede, the same styles sold at non-mj stores are sometimes lined with canvas only.

Boutiques don't offer very flexible return/exchange policy like department stores. If I am sure that I want an item, I prefer to buy mine from boutiques.

I think you can try Barneys, Saks and Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills. These three department stores all have pretty good selection of Marc Jacobs and they are next to each other on Wilshire Blvd. :wlae:
Parking in BH is much easier than the MJ store on Melrose, since you can park in any of the dept store parking lots. Each of the dept stores have a good selection of bags, and since they are located right next each other, you'll see many bags in one swoop. The MJ store has a great selection too, including limited edition bags and probably more in wallets and accessories if you are interested in those.

Rososity,

I forgot to tell you that MJ boutique in LA closes early today, they will open on regular hours on tuesday (11-7). If you go there, valet park (in front of the store); they will stamp the ticket for you, there's no fee for parking (just tip). Ask for SA Stella, she's nice & helpful. =)

I have never been to the actual MJ boutique. Do they have ALOT of bags or is basically the same thing as a dept. store?
