Hi, no I haven’t. i contacted some clinics, they suggested a facelift instead. I’m not sure if they just want more money or maybe doing lipo is actually a stupid idea in my case.
I did find a place, and their consultation was not rushed. They were not suggesting any surgery other than the one I requested for consultation. However, the prices seemed too low compared to other clinics with which I had had consultations.

Which clinic? I’m searching for the same

Did they say why they recommend that instead? How old are you? I know not all clinics do cheek liposuction but they’ll usually list it on their website

I decided to just have the underside of my jaw cannula -ed with a wet lipo procedure (in conjunction with upper bleph and fat graft to the face). Am very happy with that.

I don’t know how old you are, but as one ages and gets bags under the eyes, the solution is fat graft to smooth out the area. So, I wouldn’t get lipo in the face (or a facelift, which imo isn’t a substitute).

If you do lipo though , you must be weight stable. Just my two cents. (I personally prefer fat graft to filler). I do all of this with my local PS in the US.

One said that the effect would be minimal. Another said that there’s a risk of sagging, so they recommended a facelift instead. I’m 36.

Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it!
I’m a bit wary of the procedure too, as I’m in my late 30s so sagging is a concern. I know that face liposuction is controversial and I think for most people it’s is a bad choice, as faces get thinner with age and can even look gaunt. I’m the opposite though, I’m quite slim but my face has been really chubby all my life. Now I’ve developed jowls and looking at my older relatives, I know I will look like an English bulldog in 10 years 😭

Which country you planning to get it done?
Korea or Russia

By underside of your jaw do you mean lower cheeks? And where did you get it done?

Neck just under the chin. But I’ve also had far graft in lower cheeks and jaw (I have no idea where, but I’m happy with how it turned out (my dr, is an artist and basically tinkered)

Dr and Dr Jelks in NYC. He’s a very experienced PS with double cert in ophthalmic and PS and she’s an expert in other areas. My cosmetic dermatologist who is in Geronimus’s practice recommended Jelks over her own PSs. I would say they are among the best in the US. (I’ve done upper bleph, wet lipo and fat graft in face and body, and friends and family members have done lower bleph and other things. The east coast aesthetic is more subtle than west coast (Jelks used to have a practice in Newport Beach) and there is apparently a distinct difference :) They are definitely a proponent of less is more, and will advise accordingly.

After having lipo, you will be left with excess skin in that area, so of course getting a facelift to not look like a deflated ball and remove excessive skin is recommended. In some clinic, when you do facelift, they will do facial lipo for free. So please check with the clinic about the price as well as other post-op care if it's available
