Which settings make smaller diamonds appear bigger? We're looking at a 0.7 carat RB and my ring size is 4. I think I prefer a pave band over solitaires and 3 stone rings but am open to suggestions- any thoughts?

I agree, halos make the diamond look bigger. But if you aren't a fan of a lot of little diamonds around it then bezel also makes it look bigger. Also a thin plain band will really let your diamond shine alone and appear bigger with a higher setting.

I love halo setting with micro pave diamond band. I like the smallest that they can make. I think it's 0.02 carat for each diamond. Make sure that there's a little gap between the center stone and the surrounded micro-pave diamonds. Super cute!!

mine is .80 set on a pave band that is 1.9 mm wide. I love it. It has 4 prongs which I hear is preferred for smaller stones as the six prong settings can hide too much of the diamond surface. Goodluck!

^thats the look that I'm leaning towards right now.. I was in love with the idea of a cushion cut with a micropave halo and band, but for my bf's sake, wanted to simplify to keep costs down :)

Impasto: do u have any pics wearing it, and can I ask ur ring size? The band I'm currently interested in is 1.8 mm.

I have chubby fingers! :shame: So I wear an 8. I am sure a .7 diamond will look much bigger on your size 4 fingers.

i agree with the halo or bezel setting. those accentuate the center diamond. can't wait to see your final decision...i'm sure it will be lovely, whatever you decide on. good luck.
