I am not interested in fashionability, I don't care whether a way of wearing is in or out, I want to hear from people who have, or have had and what were the pros and cons of the style.

I thought it could be an alternative to a cross-body so I bought one (leather not sig-print) but now I've got it home I can't make it work over or under a lot of my jackets (worn across the chest) and looks to bulky around the waist (I look like a market trader). Mine is 24cm which is quite wide, maybe it's just too big for me.

How do/did you wear yours?
Was it useful?
What were the pros and cons of the style?

I don't own one but I've tried quite a few on. The reason I didn't buy one is I like my fancy packs more for both the fit and carrying capability.

24 cm is quite large for a belt bag IMO (for a normal sized person). I'd go max 20 cm unless you're very tall or big build.
What I found is that looks best when you're carrying it under your jacket across your chest - but how do you close your jacket then? The bag would make the jacket bulge and it would look a bit weird.

That may be the key, maybe it's just a bit big. 20cm is like a large wallet, 24 seems like an entire bag strapped across my chest. I think if it didn't have quite so much gold hardware it would look smaller as otherwise it's just plain black leather.

I probably wouldn't even consider closing my jackets or coats, but that's a good point. Maybe that's why I see more in the Summer.

I never understood the hype of belt bags until I brought the black Lululemon belt bag for travel. I think that style bag has to be small, flat, and worn fairly close to the body to function well; the Lululemon bag is the perfect size but I think anything bigger would just feel bulky. In the winter then this could work under a puffy coat. It works so well for travel that now I'm stuck because my other bags can't compete but I'm a little tired of it!
