I think grey (not metallic) is a really underrated colour. I would be wary of anything too light in shade, too fadish or 'shouty' as I tend to pass make up bags and purses from handbag to handbag. I only own one makeup bag and one purse but a range of handbags, so adaptability as well as originality are important here which makes it a tough call. For me, it's likely to be a neutral with a twist that makes the grade...
My vote would be for a rich vibrant plum. Beyond that, I quite like colours that pop. A bright blue, a green apple or a electric pink shade. Hope that helps.

I agree that purple (amethyst or plum) and/or wine would be great additions. I absolutely love the red too!
I got mine in the Stroke Me Bag...I think she will make it in whatever style if you are willing to wait for it.
