I bought my Bedford hobo about five weeks ago. I absolutely love it. Similar design to my LV Delightful (which I’m a big fan of except for the lack of extra pockets inside). Bedford has the comfort of delightful and extra pockets and is full leather and is a fraction of the price!

I noticed about a week after using the Bedford that it falls on the one side . Consistently will not stand up no matter what is inside of it. It has caused a lot of creasing in the leather. I’ve attached pics which show it (right side near buckle). I don’t mind the slouch of course. Just the fact that eventually the right side caves in completely. The left side stays up and is smooth.

Anyone else notice this with the Bedford? I believe it’s bc of the weight of the adjustable handle (where the buckle is). I think the weight of the metal pulls it down. Still love the bag though...just a little disappointed with the creases so soon.

I'm exactly at the one week mark and I haven't noticed yet, but will keep an eye on it. I use it on the longest strap adjustment and pretty much shove it in to my cubby at work. I do always make sure when I store it that the closure is centered. Not sure that makes a difference. Love your grey though.

Thanks for replies. OK so I make my strap longer to see if it makes difference for me and it doesn’t. Actually now you can see a mark where it used to be on the strap (see pic where the hole is). Grrr. I do have the magnet snapped all the way but it pulls to the right with the bag so it’s never really centered. Strange .

I still love this bag though. Probably my favorite Coach bag in years.

Probably once it started doing it, it will be impossible to stop. I would probably get a purse insert or place a piece of cardboard on that side to retrain it.

My strap has that mark too, I guess it'll take more than a week to smooth it out.

The issue with the magnet potentially not being centered is one that will drive me to the return line. It was the same issue I had with the Nomad. I wanted to love that bag in the worst way. I would spend countless minutes in a store holding each one up to see if it draped properly. That bag though, because it was an actual snap, if it was going to hang wrong I felt like it was always going to hang wrong. With the magnet, I was hoping that it would be a little more trainable. I guess only time will tell for all of us.

For strap marks: leather conditioner then press flat using stack of books.
To stop folds in weird places: open bag wide, tuck straps inside. You’ll have to fiddle with it to make it sit properly.
Sorry not to have pics but don’t have a hobo available currently to show.

Here’s a pic of what I mean IMG_0592.jpg
While the weight of the hardware will bend onwards a little, I find its better than a crease all the way across.
For snaps that don’t line up, try rearranging how you store your gear. If you have items that make the bag bulge beyond its “frame” it won’t hang properly.

I have this exact same bag, but I have not use it yet. However, I have the same mark on my strap when I adjusted it.
