One of my local TJ Maxx has a black Bedford Bowler satchel marked down to $169.99, but it doesn't have the long strap.

I was SO tempted, but really felt I would want the long strap.

Did I make a bad decision? (lol you know I'm just fishing for encouragement to go back and get it!)

Are you going to use the long strap? If so think it over.

That's my problem. I usually *do* use the long strap on my purses. But, I've never had a short handled satchel of this type. I don't know what to do. It was so soft and beautifulllll! And cheap!

Oooo do you know which sellers and what brands? I'm looking for a LV strap that they are selling at the stores for $300!! IMO that's ridiculous, that's another MK BAG for a STRAP!

I say for the good price, go for it! It can be your short handle bag, if you ever need a long strap bag, reach for your others ;)

I did not mean to mislead anyone on straps, these are generic leather. See below

I love the Bedford bowler! The leather is TDF. I'd go back and get it, if I were you. If you own other black bags with straps, then you could always switch one of those.
