I just realize I don’t use my black GHW small classic flap that much because the hardware is too yellowish. I love light gold hardware of Chanel. I compromise of aged gold hardware but GHW is just too yellowish and shiny.

Im wearing mixed metal jewelry, gold, rose gold, white gold.

Thinking about selling her to get silver hardware in medium size instead .

Yes I agree but I don’t dress up elegantly. I am kindda jean gal mist of the time. I don’t do night life. I dont do night out.

I really like the gold hardware, dont like the light gold hardware. Wish Chanel would go back to the real gold plating too. There is a reason gold hardware sells better than silver hardware.

I'm biased to silver since I'm cool skin toned. I have a M/L classic flap in the black lambskin/silver combo and it's super lux! I do think gold hardware looks great with ivory/beige/ brown tho... Maybe look at your clothes and skin tone to see what would look best?

I am biased toward gold HW as well. If you really don't like it, then sell. One thing I would say is that I don't think you have to have a fancy occasion or active nightlife to wear this bag. I LOVE the look of Chanel bags dressed down. You could look on IG or YouTube for inspiration. These bags are too expensive to save for special occasions. Just my opinion, of course!

I prefer lighter gold hardware and my jumbo is with silver for a more casual look. I’m in the minority that way. Get what speaks to you!! Most people think the gold is stunning but if you don’t love it ... that’s what matters the most!

I agree that the dark gold is harder to dress down. I’m all about the light/pale gold because it came be worn with gold and white gold jewelry well.

I love the combination of the luxurious bag with the casual look.
My favorite HWs are silver, Ruthenium and so black.
So I‘m the minority who personally find the GHW a bit more difficult to match with my wardrobe.

I also like light gold or aged gold hardware better. I only like the dark gold on the WOC—maybe because it’s smaller with less hardware. On classic flaps I prefer silver. I had a jumbo years ago with gold hardware that I never wore for the same reasons as you. But it’s all personal preference. They are all stunning bags!

Is your small flap a 30 series? Honestly I’ve had that battle so I have both. I’m a silver person but my ghw looks good with white and beige like another person said above. Silver matches with black and my other edgier clothes

Yes, sell her. I sold a black lambskin with dark gold bag as I never wore it. It looked so dated to me, and to be frank, I felt frumpy wearing it and stopped using it. Chanel switched to light gold and it's better. I prefer silver as I'm a white metal gal.

I vote to sell it and get one with silver hardware. It will look much more contemporary in my opinion.
