Beach Wedding In May

Hi everyone,

Will be going to a wedding in May in the Bahamas. Would love to get ideas and suggestions from everyone on the outfit. I just started to browse but would love to hear everyone's suggestions! As I mentioned it's in the Bahamas, it'll be a destination beach wedding. So I want to casual chic but not too casual and not too dressy. Ideas, suggestions, photos, all welcomed!

Do you have a preference for colors or a price range? I've been looking at beachy stuff all day since it's the first time it's been warm here in foreverrrr, so I'm sure I could give you some ideas if we have the same price range :smile:

Errr...brides don't always take kindly to others wearing white on their big day.;) Another pale color might be nice. What budget are you looking at?

Have you checked Calypso-Celle.com? If you go to the sale and final sale sections, you will find silk dresses that are beach chic. And most are under $100. You can dress them up with jewelry/shoes. Here are a few but there are more:

My friend just got married at the Atlantis! it was beautiful....

I wore a shift dress with cap sleeves and was super comfortable... any of my short dresses were comfortable for the trip, except for my maxi dress. that was too warm and didn't allow any air to flow and cool me off. Wedges are easy to walk in too. I brought some CLs and I found them hard to walk in, especially in areas where there was boardwalk and tiles... i found the heels kept getting stuck in the cracks(yikes!).

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the suggestions! Love all the dresses. Now, I'm having a bit of trouble deciding! I'm restricting myself to a $150 budget for the dress so hopefully I'll find something under my budget. The wedding is in the Bahamas so I have to factor in money on travel and accommodations and all that good stuff. Also, I'm hoping to for light hearted, summery colors since it's a destination wedding.

mielikki55 - Love your suggestions!! The 3rd (Iowa) dress is my fave of all the dresses. Thanks for suggesting the site!!!

Queenvictoria2 - Love this dress! I've been eying this dress as well. It's very similar to one of the dresses mielikki55 suggested. Both are super duper cute!! And they both come in a lot of colors!

Thithi - Thanks for the heads up on the heels situation. I need to keep an eye out for cute summery sandals and wedges. =)
