The leather is like that from the go. I mean that’s how it is supposed to be when new. It is lamb leather and meant to be wrinkly and squishy, sort of like with the classic Moto-line bags.

This is why it's called 'distressed', and that's how every each bag develops individual character after some use
it's perfect, enjoy it!

i didn't even unwrap mine, i knew it's of no use for me
hand/arm carry is fine for me

I haven’t tried the medium but I have the small and if it’s anything to judge by I’m not sure the medium will be a bottomless pit. They’re pretty easy bags to find stuff in.

That’s what I was going to say, the M size is so comfortable on the shoulder. I am petite and when I first got mine I though, no way! I wanted to return but then started using it, thinking it would be a cool weekender and gym bag... and then couldn’t stop using it. It is light, super comfortable, you have all that leather wrapping you and once you get used to the size, doesn’t feel big... it is my favorite Bazar size.

And I also thought it would be a bottomless pit (I shudder to think how many years I suffered with my beloved Days). Strangely enough, it is too big for that. It’s like, if you put all your stuff on the floor, it is easy too see. I don’t know whether I am making sense with this...
