Hello everyone,

I might possibly be getting a Baume & Mercier watch in the next 24 hours and was just wondering if anyone would be able to share his/her experiences with the brand and its watches? :smile1:

I was looking at the Riviera 8724 today:

Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks! :flowers:

That is one good looking watch! Unfortunately I don't have any experience of Baume and Mercier, hopefully someone else has=)!

Good luck!

My sister has a baume & mercier watch and although we love the watch, the thing (I am not sure how to call it in English) that marks the time (you know, the one that goes around the watch telling you the time lol) one of the two things (I think it was the one that marks the minutes) fell off...we got it fixed and it fell off again!
Besides that I really like her watch. She wears it every day. And btw, the Riviera is my favorite Baume & Mercier.

This is the one my sister has: http://www.jomashop.com/baume-8568.html

i am just now slowly learning about watches. I do know that Baume and Mercier is part of the Richemont group (together with JLC, Cartier, Vacheron) and that it is one of the older brands. I think theyre gorgeous, quietly elegant watches :) My stepmom had a Baume et Mercier that was 16 years old-- and that was when i was 16 :) I am not 29 and she still wears it daily.

I have 2 Baume Mercier watches-one is battery operated (Hampton Classic) and one is an automatic (Capeland). I love both and they are a very well made swiss watch! Hope this helps!:smile1:

My husband and I each have one....his is an automatic chronograph (Capeland) and mine is a quartz movement (Diamant). We've had them for 3+ years and they still work and look great! I love the brand - it is very well made, classic and understated.
