Base cream - anyone use it, ok on face?

Base cream, it's the stuff you get in the larger tub at almost all pharmacies. Says it's hypoallergenic, just wondering if it's ok to use on face, I've been using it for the last little while mixed with a bit of rose water but if it isn't good I'm going to stop and get a face cream like I used to before.

I see no reason why not considering that you have'nt come across any problems. Base cream is simply a no frills moisturiser.
