I am going to NY on holidays, I will be there on the 4th september, does someone knows if usually there is something still left at this last moments of the sales? I am spending only 4 days, and doing some tourism, so I am afraid I have to make a very good selection of my buying places. TIA!

It's usually pretty picked over during the last days of the sale, however, the prices are usually much better. They slash the price as the sale goes on, sometimes additional 40% or even 50% off at the final days. So it's either a hit or a miss. If you can find things that you like during final days, then it's definitely worth checking out.

Are the warehouse sale prices better or worse than the final sales in stores? I'll be in NYC this weekend!

has anyone seen louboutins at the warehouse sales? lots of styles?
Yes, definitely. Selection depends on your shoe size. Sizes under 6.5 are usually not bad, but if you wear 9.5+, it's like a goldmine.

I've gotten 3 pairs in sales past: Para la Nicole for $195, 2 pairs of mary jane espadrilles for $50/each. (I wear 36.5 or 36)

2 seasons ago i bought 2 pairs of CL. One was a gold ballet flat ($100) the other was a black open toe wedge ($200). It was towards the end of the sale when it was an extra 40 or 50% off.

"Shut up and shop" is the Barneys New York Warehouse sale tagline and that's what shoppers were doing after the wait. Let's start with the shoe section, shall we? The offerings are mainly spring and summer styles—platforms, strappies, gladiators, etc. (not too many boots) with labels to make you salivate: Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Balenciaga, Jean-Michel Cazabat, Pierre Hardy, Sigerson Morrison, Prada, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent and more.

While most coveted pairs start around the $450-$850 range and then head upwards into four digits, gems can still be found by keen deal hunters. Spotted: Black suede taupe trimed Loub pumps for $389, black python Loeffler Randall boots for $219.50 and cream wide strap platform sandals by Sigerson Morrison for Pringle for $239.50.

Once you've conquered shoes, head to the right for Designer and the back left for Ready to Wear. There, look out for mainstays like Giorgio Armani, Prada, Balenciaga, Giambattista Valli, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Jil Sander, Proenza Schouler and of course, Barneys label. There are also small sections of more cutting edge designers like Band of Outsiders, Richard Chai, Barbara Frank and more. This section is organized by designer, as usual, and the designer evening gown rack is located at the back right.

Of note: There is also a massive collection of Lanvin's denim wear (dresses, tops, trenches, etc—from a quick look, we think it's all the Acne collab).

In the front right, we found some promising outerwear. Rogan black leather jackets are $339, down from $960, Mike & Chris vests leather vests are $169-$239, a cute Jeffrey Monteiro electric blue trench is $219.50 down from $725 and Marc Jacobs patterned jackets for $209, down from $528.

Ready to Wear is towards the back left and you'll hit the denim bins in the middle first. Brands include Rag and Bone and Levi's. Jeans start from $59, with most around the $89. Ready to Wear labels include Phillip Lim 3.1, Diane Von Furstenberg, Vena Cava, Theory and Plenty.

Final words of wisdom: There is a modest bin of bags and random accessories near the designer section, but skip that, since the bags are seasonal and hard to transition into fall. If you must, the makeshift dressing "room" is an open area in the corner of the designer section, although some ladies inevitable make their own dressing area in random aisles and corners throughout the warehouse. The music was steadily improving throughout the morning, too. —Fawnia Soo Hoo
