Hello,

It's my first day on ban island and I'm struggling. It's weird as I wouldn't buy a bag everyday so why is day 1 so difficult? I suppose it's probably for a few reasons

1) We usually go on shopping spree on New Years Day.

2) When you know you can't have something, it makes you want it more.

If you are on bag island too, how are you doing? Feel free to chat, post your random thoughts etc xxx

I have been wanting a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses (the large Wayfarers). My husband said that he would get me a pair for my birthday if I didn't buy any sunglasses until then. My birthday's in May, and Solstice had some
Dolces on sale for 50% off.
It's not a bag, but it always seems like when you're on a no-buy, you want everything you see!

My birthday is in May too! 😊 I love the wayfarers but they really don't suit me as I have quite a long face.

It's so hard being on a ban when I'm forever getting emails full of offers and advertisements! X

Another May birthday here! And I am determined to stay banned this year. No bags, no sunnies (I usually get a pair of Chanel each season), no red lipsticks (I have an addiction!) and no SLGs. The only one I am nervous about is the sunglasses...Must. Resist.

I suppose in a weird way, having as May birthday may make it easier to get through our bans. Our birthdays are almost half way through the year and although I don't expect presents, I always receive them so it's almost like buying but without breaking my ban. That's an incentive to keep me on track for the first 6 months and at the end of the next 6 months- we have Christmas! Having occasions to look forward to should make my ban easier x

I'm like this too. Whenever I cannot afford or justify to buy something, or just decided to not buy bags/clothes, I want everything I see. But whenever I can go on a serious shopping spree, I NEVER find anything :p

Have decided to make more of an effort to really save up for timeless pieces (aka bags), and buy some of the bags I have been wanting for so long, like a Mulberry Lily and a Balenciaga City.
