Calling all the girls (and gentleman) who wants be on a SERIOUS BAN, let support each other to help CONTROL our obsession for handbags!

I only started to collect luxury bags since 2013 when I got my first full time job. The first bag I bought was a LV EPI Brea, and that's what started my obsession for handbags.

In 2014, I bought, I can't even count how many, Balenciaga and LV bags, I bought both new and preloved, but I learnt that I could never enjoy a preloved bag as much as a new one, so I sold all my preloved bags (4 Balenciaga, 5 LVs) and only keep the 4 new bags in my collection.

Starting from this year, in 2015, I started to be obsessed (yeah, that's the exact wording) with Chanel handbags which surprised me cos I used to not like this brand because I thought they were too mature. I quickly bought 2 bags (1 new, 1 preloved) within 2 months and sold the preloved one for the same reason mentioned above. And yesterday I finally pulled the trigger and got my HG bag--a classic flap bag.

And Purse Form DOES NOT help! LOL! I posted several times on this form saying that I will be on a ban and stop buying, but that only works for a short period of time. I thought my collection was complete, but there seem to always be a bag out there, different material, different size, different colour, different strap length lol calling me.

My DH was always supportive but now even he has a problem with this obsession of mine. So, this time I will be on a SERIOUS BAN. No more bags this year, no more bags next year! No more accessories!

I'm kinda in the same boat - right now, I'm content and I have no needs accessory wise. The only thing I need is a nice, big scarf for the fall but other than that, banned.

In the last 2-3 yrs I've just about completely renewed my bag and wallet collection and sold dozens of bags so that I can concentrate on quality, not quantity. I'm planning to sell around 10 more bags that don't fit in my collection anymore and not replacing them.

Lol this sounds so familiar! I need to join the ban too! X properly this time [emoji4][emoji13]

I'm with you, except I have different limits in place. We are between homes now, waiting on one to be built, and I've added... (oh geez) 7 bags and 5 accessories to my bill. Yeah, that's bad considering my main collection is in storage and I can't really see what I have now. So when we move in here in a few weeks, I already have some in mind that will be leaving my closet for good. Just have to down size. And I've restricted myself to wait till Christmas this year to get a HG bag...which one I don't know yet. :)

Ha, you are preaching to the choir! Getting a paycheck does not help with my overall shopping addiction. Although my husband refuses to let me quit work lol. He doesn't want to pay for all of my luxury purchases I'm sure.

I'm in!... I have dropped some serious dollars this year on LV and Chanel...... Arghhhhhh.....,NO more bag purchases until 2016 for me..... small SLG's not included though... just itty bitty little ones...

I'm thinking of going for a Zero In Sixteen challenge bc I am pretty happy with my purses right now. No need to continue tinkering with my wardrobe!

I'm in too. I've started collecting Chanel for about 3 years now and I have 15. 7 of them I bought this year. Saks updated my credit card to Premium because I spent close to $25,000 this year. I REALLY need to stop. My husband jokes with me every once in a while about how I'm always on the phone shopping for purses, no complaints so far, but I started to feel guilty... Let's stay on this ban together and stick to it!

A zero in sixteen challenge is a great idea! I'm in but will definitely need some tough love from the kind handbag enthusiasts on TPF to keep from slipping!
