Ballon Bleu 28mm vs 33mm Help

I am fairly sure I want the ballon bleu steel/rose gold with Roman numerals (not diamond numbers). They didn’t have this in the store so I’m trying on the all steel and the steel/rose gold with diamond numbers. I am waffling between the 28mm vs the 33mm on me.

In the pics, one of the all steels is a 28, the other shows the 33, and the steel/rose gold is 33.

I’d love to hear opinions as to which size looks best because I’m very torn! I have fairly small wrists but am an hourglass mid size frame and 5’8 for reference! It’s also hard for me to picture what they will really look like when the links are fitted properly. Thanks all!

I like the 28 on you. It’s more dainty and dressy looking. The other one is just a smidgen too big, in my opinion.

Subjective. I prefer bigger watches, and I think they make the wrist look daintier. I think once the links are adjusted the 33 will be perfect and withstand a variety of trends. Smaller watches are considered dressier, but JMO, I also think they are somehow on the conservative side of classic. I also started wearing two tone Rolex and cartier in the 1980s when watches were smaller, and that’s another reason why I prefer larger.

ETA: I do like the boyfriend watch aesthetic, so perhaps my viewpoint is not the majority one on TPF
Both are beautiful and there are arguments for both sizes
sometimes it helps to take a full length pic of you and the watch

I agree. I definitely prefer the 33mm on you more than the 28mm. Given your height, I would go with the larger one. I'm not a fan of the diamond markers on this particular watch (even though I have diamond markers on my Rolex DJ), but I think it's beautiful regardless.

I am only 0.5inch taller than you, so were about the same height. I would go for 33 no question over the 28. I also prefer that size on you from these pictures here. My preference, however, is for larger faces with 37 being a minimum for me (41 is my true choice).
