Balenciaga weigh difference facts

I was looking for the weight of the part time gh at the website because i was curious why i feel my PT weighs lot more than my city when filled with the same stuffs i carry everyday and come to this:

According to balenciaga.com
The city RH is 1.3lbs
The cith GH is 2.5lbs
The PT rh is 3.2lbs (this kinda strange huh?)
The PT GH is 3.2lbs
The work rh is 1.8lbs
The work GH is 2.9lbs
The weekender RH is 2.4lbs
The weekender GH is 3lbs

1. The pt rh is the same weight as the pt gh? Or is it a typo? I don't have a pt rh to compare
2. How come the pt gh is heavier than the work gh?

Weird....Balenciaga needs to get their facts straightened out. Weight is a huge issue and definitely something I consider when I buy a bag.

I was packing something for shipping so I thought I would see what the real weights are.

For the Part Time:

rh weight = 1.78 lb
GH weight = 2.80 lb

The rh is a 2006 Blue India and the GH is a 2007 French Blue so it does have the feet which must add a bit. Both weights are including the strap!

I only have the GH City and it came in at 2.58 lb

1. Seems like a typo to me too.

2. I want to guess the GH Work is lighter than PT GH because it doesn't have the shoulder strap.

There are definitely typos on the Balenciaga.com website. The measurements for the Giant Hip are drastically wrong (like double what it should be) and have been that way since last season.

This is interesting as I started a thread not long ago about Bal sizes/dimensions.
Some of them seem off on the website too (like northern dancer said above).

I wanted to know if there was any variation between years and seasons....

Hi! I know this thread is quite old, but I had a Balenciaga weight question that I'm really hoping someone can answer. Does anyone know how much a Balenciaga First weighs? I checked Bal's website and Neiman Marcus (which, helpfully, usually includes details about a handbag's weight), but no luck.

According to NM, it weighs 1lb 6oz which is about 1.4 lbs. that's the town.
the City weighs 1lb 12 oz which is 1.75 lbs

Thanks for the info, BPC! I also double checked by calling Balenciaga customer service but they said both the RH City and RH Town weigh about 2 lbs. I'm very confused...I can't seem to find the exact weight of the Classic City and Classic Town anywhere

Does anyone know for sure the exact weights of both?

according to the neiman marcus website, those are the exact weights.

I have had a City (didn't work for me, sigh) and I have 3 Purses and of all my bags (and there are many), my Bals are the lightest of them all by far.


Mine were/are all RH though, which are probably the lightest.
