Bags You've Sold or Returned and Why

I've sold so many bags I don't think I could list all of them. Literally I think we're way over 50 at this point.
The last bag I returned was a MarimekkoxAdidas Aalto gym bag which I wanted for a travel bag but it was so tiny it barely fit anything. Before that, a Kurt Geiger Kensington XXL went back because it had a stain on the leather. A tiny stain, but as I knew it was there it would have bothered me to all eternity. Switched for a perfect one and it's my most beautiful bag.

Mulberry Alexa and PS1 in few colours, I even bought one same two times and both times lost on return shipping. Something was just off. I love school bags but those two just did not work for me. PS1 is very heavy and Alexa has much better looking fakes in fact LOL, its leather has nothing to do with amazing older Mulberry bags.

I also returned and sold few Bal cities

It seems to me that I love hand held bags and also for shoulder bags I like north-south not east west

The new Alexas are nothing compared to the classic, original one. The leather is indeed the problem. But have you taken a look at YSL College bags? I think they are pretty and also the leather is great.

The Proenza Schouler "Hava" bag is the only bag I ever returned. For one the retailer incorrectly stated the drop length of the bag. It was listed that it could be cross bodied but the strap in reality is ridiculously short. The hardware also looks cool in pictures but felt rather light and tinny in person.

Found this old pic...as you can see it is far from cross body friendly LOL.

Bags I've sold:
- YSL Sac De Jour- too heavy
- YSL medium Kate bag- very very stiff leather, cannot fit much, and if you tried to fit more than it can handle, the top flap will warp and tilt to the side.
- LV lock me bb- it was red, color was too much for me and leather was too soft and squishy. I could tell that it wouldn't be able to hold the structure and eventually will look kind of look melted.
- Chloe Mily bag- lock was too big and heavy for the soft leather, I could tell that it would crease and damage the leather over time.
- Polene Number One mini- chain would dig into my shoulder
- Zadig & Voltaire rock bag and Zadig & Voltaire messenger bag- never reached for them.
- Burberry pouch- too flat, couldn't hold much.
- Christian louboutin stud bag (small with a shoulder strap)- eventually stopped reaching for it, but kind of difficult to fit my essentials.

Bags I've given away:
- 2 Burberry Banner totes: size small and medium. Both for my mother. Suited her style more.

Never returned a bag before.

Bottega Veneta mini loop bag, in washed lemon (a light yellow with gray undertones). I bought it because before a price increase. Returned it because: 1. It was not the color I had in mind originally (but that was the one in stock). 2. I wasn't so excited when it arrived. 3. The quality was disappointing.

Been a long time since I purchased premier designer bags. Just purchased the O'case Fendace collection. The quality was not that appealing in person. I prefer the Versace disco and might get that in the next couple of month.

Do you have other Polene bags? I tried a few Polene designs too, and I really like the Huit and Neuf. The full size versions might get a bit heavy though, which might not suit your taste.

I do not. If there was a brick & motar store I think I would be more open to going in to see and buy them. I’m just not a big fan of ordering bags in general. If there ever are stores in the US I’d love to go check them out!

All my bags are pre-loved and purchased online. The main reason I have sold or returned bags is they were too big to be comfortable for me. I am a small bag girl who sometimes tells myself that a bigger bag will be ok, but it never it. I sold one because it was too heavy. Returned one because the color was not what I thought it was from pictures.

I have never returned a bag , but I have sold very few bags that either I hadn't worn in a very long time or that didn't work and couldn't be returned (like 3 bags over the span of 15 years..). Unless you're going through a concession I don't think it's worth the time and effort, even if it's much easier these days than it used to be. I probably have some items I should sell because I don't use them anymore.

I haven't sold a bag, but I have returned one bag. It was a Salvatore Ferragamo on sale. The leather and craftsmanship was exquisite, but the structured shape was not for me.

I have given bags to others, like my mom, which was a Coach bag. Sometimes she borrows the bags I don't use very often.
