Just watched a video.... for what it's worth....2021 bag trends include:
conventional hobo shaped, very oversized handbags, very tiny handbags, straw handbags, crochet handbags,
geometric shape bags, and tote bags with the top folded over.
With the exception of the geometric bags (cubes or circles) most bags were
unstructured.
The bags that were 'modeled' in the runway show were shown
either on the shoulder or carried in the hand. Only the tiniest bags were shown cross body.
Some bags were tucked under the arm.
And bags were often carried in a way differently from
the 'intended design'.... with the strap either hanging or folded to be hand carried.
I didn't see any bags worn on the arm at the elbow.
They also showed 'shopping totes'.... bags that looked like large shopping bags that would
be given away with a logo from a store on them.
I didn't see bucket bags or drawstring bags or conventional satchels (my preference).
Not that it matters. I'll wear what I like, but it's interesting because
it indicates styles we will see in the market in the coming months.
