Hi! I need bag advice. I have been on the hunt for the perfect work bag to no avail.
Here is what I need:

Durable leather
Comes with a satchel strap(s) and shoulder strap.
Zips on the top
Can carry a 13 inch laptop, wallet, keys, sunglasses and files without issue
Designer- premium

I have a prada saffiano large double zip and carrying that through the airport when close to 10 lbs of weight...maybe more is killing my forearm. I love it but have to get rid of it.

I am looking at the chanel gst used however it doesn't have the zipper on the top. I need suggestions please!!!!!

If you have problem with the weight, I wouldn't suggest you to get leather bag. It's heavy and will get heavier once it get filled up. Maybe get a nice tote? It's better for your shoulder, too.

Instead of a Chanel GST why not have a look at the Chanel Cerf/Executive Tote. It has compartments and a central removable zip up pouch for security. Double handles plus detachable shoulder strap. There is lots of info in the Chanel sub forum.

Thanks. Any specific brand recommendations?

It's not a premium designer, but for carrying laptop around, I like Timbuk2. The compartment is great for organization.

But if you really want to go for a premium designer, why don't you try Prada nylon? Chanel sometimes has seasonal design that maybe can hold a laptop. (There classic designs are heavy.) Fendi 2 jour also can hold one. And it's light. Also check out Hermes and Balenciaga men's line. They usually have some design that fit your criteria. I'm just not good with the name.

But seriously speaking from my experience, the bag that hold laptop the best is one made specifically to hold one. I'm just not a fan of the sleeves. ;)

This is exactly what I thought!!! but From personal experiance I wouldn't suggest the cerf tote for so much weight... This is exactly what I would use it for (travel) and it lost its shape so quickly!! It is to this day my most regretted (is that a word? haha) purchase

What about the saint laurent sac de jour ? I've seen it in a pebbled leather and large size. It seems to hold up quite well!!!

I have large sac du jour already but it doesn't come with a shoulder strap and because it is leather exterior and suede interior, it is HEAVY even when empty

I know what you mean about heavy bags, i always seem to fall in love with the shoulder-busters!
So I was pleasantly pleased to discover that Gucci leather bags seem quite a lot lighter than I expected them to be, especially as the leather looks so lush.
I expected the famous Soho shoulder bag to be awfully heavily, but it was surprisingly light. So too with the other bags I tried on at Gucci.
I know this is not *exactly* what you specified, but when I visited Gucci I fell in love with the bamboo top-handled backpacks. Absolutely beautiful irl, and I'm not usually into backpacks at all. Perhaps that could be an interesting option for you.

Of course, canvas is renowned for being light and long wearing. A brand I personally have just discovered is Bally, I bought a large canvas Boston-style zip up bag from them recently, and am very pleased with the purchase. The canvas really appealed to me in person - much nicer than the photos. My SA showed my her canvas Bally, which she uses to tote all her uni stuff every day and it didn't show a skerrick of wear. Here is an example: http://www.bally.com/en_us/shop-man...ed-canvas-messenger-bag-in-black-6199578.html
