Bag Splurge - Help Me Pick a New Bag!

I'm looking to pick up one more bag in 2019 after a bit of a bender and I'm torn between these two bags. I don't have any Gucci and I'm in love with the "granny floral" print of the Flora Jackie bag. I also don't have any hobo bags or anything like this style.

Regarding LV, I have 2 NF's (DA & Mono) but don't have a Speedy. I could use the Speedy more day-to-day while the Gucci will be much more outfit driven and only used on occasion. But the Speedy will always be available and I could pick that up on 2020 while the Gucci is a seasonal bag and not sure I'd be able to grab this down the road should I want to.

I'm also fairly anal-retentive so I'm mildly worried about how the canvas on the Gucci will wear - though that probably shouldn't be a concern as this bag wouldn't be a daily driver and I'm gentle on my bags. I'm so torn!

Any thoughts are welcome!

I'm not really a fan of LV logo bags but I'd go with that as it would get more use. But if you're in love with the Gucci, then maybe it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

Stick with the LV. The monogram is considered classic despite it's patterned element. You will get more use and will always be "in".

I vote speedy b. Great, classic bag that you can get a lot of use out of. But also biased because I have two

I think your sentences above indicate that you should go with LV. If you cannot really use the Gucci one much and you are only purchasing it because you are not sure you'd be able to find one down the road SHOULD (meaning you don't really like it) you want to.....think again if that decision will make you happy and satisfied. Good luck whatever your decision will be.

The Gucci bag has a beautiful print but...I believe that canvas is not coated which means it could get stained very easily -- even if you baby it, somebody else could accidentally spill something on it... Also it's not for year round (unless you live in someplace like Florida or Singapore). The Speedy is more durable and will serve you all year. Have you thought of getting the LV bag and buying a Gucci scarf or shawl with the same beautiful print? Comes in a variety of background colors (white, black, pink) or even with a background pattern.

Thank you! I was just starting to think in this direction last night. I think this is the way I may go. I need bags I can rotate in-and-out of frequently or feel I'm using/enjoying the bag. Even the LV Vachetta worries me less than an uncoated canvas!
