Congratulations on your orders :yahoo:Very nice choices
That was a nice choice of words they explain the deposits, "If you commit to us, we'll commit to you." No games needed.

congrats on your orders!!!!

i wondered since they asked u for a deposit - i had another thought if it was feasible to pay in FULL instead (to capture this yr's pricing, incase they arrive after another price hike?)

I'm surprised too, even if it is an independently owned boutique.:confused1:
This may be a policy unique to this particular boutique. I'm fine with it, though! I consider it insurance for getting my bags.

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone! You're right, the waiting and anticipation is definitely a fun part of the H-buying experience.

Anyway, congrats kenzie on placing your orders.
tPF member ReneH placed orders at this boutique, and I think there is at least one thread from 6 months or so ago where she talks about the same thing--having to place a deposit for her bags and it being standard practice for Cuffs.

The King of Prussia store is also a franchise (concession) store, lecolquitt. I think there's a list of them somewhere on the subforum. I know avandome compiled a list of all the US stores that ARE Hermes owned.
