Alexander Wang Bag leather quality decline?

Just received a mini rockie with SHW from Shopbop. It seems so light compared the the RGHW mini rockie I bought from Nordstromrack last year. I also feel like the leather is thinner on it. Anyone else experience this with the newer rockies? On a plus side, the zipper is smooth and perfect lol

I have experienced cheaper leather not in this brand but in others. I think that retailers are cutting corners as their market declines. Very unfortunate. I have switched to brands that are staying true to their original quality.
