Hi everyone!! For the past couple of months, I've been toying with the idea of getting a Neverfull GM to replace my beloved MM in mono, which is my workhorse, go-everywhere bag for work and everything else, and recently the MM has been showing some wear that makes me think I might need to bite the bullet sooner rather than later. Although it's probably not the most practical choice, I'm leaning towards DA for the GM just because light colors brighten my mood and I think that's something we could all use nowadays. If I do get the DA, I will most likely get the beige interior just because I feel it looks a little more professional than the pink.

What's giving me pause is the need for a bag insert, because I think with the beige, it will really be necessary to keep it from getting totally grubby inside in a hurry. I was thinking of going for a tan/beige that's a little darker than the actual lining color so it won't show dirt as noticeably and so it wouldn't stick out as much if I changed my mind at the last minute and ended up going for mono instead (because I want to buy the insert before I get the bag so I can start using it ASAP).

I'm a little paranoid that a darker insert might leave color transfer on the inside of the bag, even if it's not too much darker, and I've seen a couple of posts suggesting that color transfer from inserts has happened to people before. Has anyone who's used an insert with their DA Neverfulls with beige interiors had this problem? Or alternatively, if anyone's had a good experience with no transfer, I would love to know what you recommend!

Thanks in advance for your thoughts/advice!!

I love the inserts from Divide and Conquer on Etsy - Connie is the lovely woman that owns the shop, and I’m now on my 6th insert for various bags From her. The inserts are sturdy, practical, the inside bottom is wipeable and they give your bag some shape. You can add handles to it for easy bag transfer, or a key fob or a water bottle holder. I don’t like felt inserts as they collect dog hair at my house :P, hers are made of the same canvas as yacht sails. Have had zero color transfer issues, and I have used my purple one inside a yellow interior NF, etc. She is very talented, makes and ships quickly, and has multiple colors from which to choose. She also has standard sizes for more popular bags like the NF, Birkin, Kelly, etc. she will do custom sizes too, she did a lovely light pink one for my Kelly that was tailored specifically to the shape and size and softer to not push on the bag that I wanted. No financial ties, just love her work and how she does business! HTH!

The coloured felt ones do present a risk of colour transfer if they get damp. I have read (here I think) of people putting a ziplok bag or a white handkerchief underneath the insert to protect the bottom of the bag. Personally I only use beige/cream felt organisers from KD and they are completely fine.

I have the Neverful GM in DA beige interior and use a felt organizer I got from Amazon. I bought the beige in size Large the name of the company is ONGER50. I've had it for several years and it has held up really well without color transfer. Very well priced $26.99 and well made with fast shipping. I use it in my Mono Neverful with Beige interior too. I've been really happy with it.

I prefer to use zip organizers most of the time in both of my GM NF for security. I have about 15 organizers in various sizes, colors and styles, I’ve never had any color transfer in either my Mono (tan interior), or my DE NF. I have the organizer pictured in red, royal blue, tan and orange. The royal blue organizer is inside my Cabas Alto.

Wow, thank y'all so much!! This is all super helpful!! Seems like there are a lot of good options out there. @DrTr, I hadn't even thought about the fact that there might be options other than felt! I have a cat who sheds like crazy so this might be worth looking into. I'm so glad everyone has pretty much had good experiences with their inserts--I definitely feel more confident about it now!
